The Agent Dispatch.

Linq

Linq: an infrastructure choice with people downstream.

Linq’s API can support the messaging layer; agents still need a clear working surface.

A stronger fit when a technical team owns the workflow and can build or select the agent experience.

The API is the starting point

Linq presents native iMessage, RCS, SMS, and voice capabilities through its messaging platform. It offers developer documentation, a command-line tool, and a sandbox. These are relevant building blocks for a company connecting customer communication to its own systems.

The agent-facing question is different: where does a person see the conversation, accept responsibility, and leave a note? Ask your implementation team to show that surface. An infrastructure purchase does not by itself specify the finished service desk.

Budget for implementation as well as access

We did not confirm a numeric production quote from the reviewed public pages. Request pricing for your number count, channels, traffic, support, and any onboarding work. Do not use a competitor’s price estimate as a Linq quote.

Linq publishes security and performance claims. If those influence procurement, request the current documents and contractual scope. This desk has not audited its controls or measured its latency.

The right evaluation includes an absence

Simulate the person who normally handles a customer being unavailable. The replacement agent should get the correct history and sending identity, while any automated response respects the change in ownership.

Linq belongs in an evaluation when the company wants control over how messaging fits its product. A small team seeking only a ready-to-use shared inbox should first establish exactly what it will receive and who will maintain it.
